I discovered the practices of Yoga in 2005 when I was a student in university. I was studying for a degree in Plant Science, while fascinated to be learning about the works and wonders of life and the world around us, I felt a lack of human connection and compassion in the path I chose.
After I took my first Yoga class I knew these practices would be a lifelong companion. Yoga awakened a deep yearning inside to not only understand life but to participate in it fully with deep presence, awareness, openness and compassion.
I received my 200hr certification in 2011 at The Laughing Lotus Yoga School in San Francisco.
I completed my advanced studies and received my 500hr certification at Yoga Tree SF and specialized in Yoga Therapeutics in 2014.
The main teacher I train with these days is Judith Lasater. Focusing on Restorative and Therapeutics.
I've had many teachers and am constantly learning. The teachers who have had the greatest impact on me are: Judith Hanson Lasater, Mark Whitwell and Re'em Areuveni.
I believe that Yoga truly is for everyone. I love a simple and deep practice and aim to plant the seed of self-care, self-love and deep self-inquiry in my students hearts. May we chuckle together at how human we all are.
Styles I teach
THERAPEUTIC YOGA – A slow paced practice, with a focus on healthy mobility, mindful movement, alignment and breath in a safe supportive environment.
RESTORATIVE YOGA - Simply slowing down. A supported practice for balancing the nervous system and restoring the body, mind, and spirit. Postures are held for longer periods of time, using props (blankets, blocks, and straps) for coziness, support, health and relaxation.
POWER YOGA - Classic Yoga poses with an emphasis on strengthening, breath work, mindful movement and deep compassion. In each class we practice: Asana, Pranayama, Meditation and Savasana.
CORPORATE YOGA - Yoga can support the well being of your employees and enhance their ability to focus with steadiness and ease.
PRIVATE YOGA SESSIONS - These sessions are great for:
Beginners interested in building a strong foundation of practice.
Advanced students who are interested in developing a meaningful home practice.
Students working with health and mobility challenges that would like to tap into the deep therapeutic aspects of asana, pranayama, meditation and relaxation.
